Account Deletion Guide (HPL Sweat Science)

This guide describes how to delete your account in the HPL Sweat Science app and what data is deleted or retained.

1. How to Delete Your Account

1. Open the app
2. After logging in, navigate to the Profile screen
3. Tap the Delete Account button
4. Review the instructions and confirm deletion

For security reasons, re-authentication (recent login) may be required depending on your device or account status.

2. Data That Will Be Deleted

The following information is deleted when you delete your account:

• User profile information (users/{uid}):
  • Email
  • Display name
  • Name, date of birth, height, weight, and other profile data
• Local app data (settings, cache, etc.)
• Firebase Authentication user account (login credentials)

3. Data That May Be Retained (Anonymized)

The following data may be retained in an anonymized form (with personally identifiable information removed) for the purposes of service quality improvement and research:

• Measurement/record data (measurements):
  • Owner information linked to the account is anonymized (e.g., ownerUid is replaced with an anonymous value).

Since anonymized data has its connection to specific individuals removed, it may not be possible to selectively identify and delete records of a specific individual after anonymization.
